By accessing or using Retirement Buddy ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Retirement Buddy.

2. Description of Service

Retirement Buddy provides AI-powered retirement planning tools, guidance, and educational resources. The Service includes:

• Retirement scenario modeling and Monte Carlo simulations
• Budget and debt planning tools
• Conversational AI coaching for retirement transitions
• Educational content about retirement planning

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

To use certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
• Be responsible for all activities under your account

3.2 Account Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use the Service.

4. Subscription and Payment

4.1 Free and Premium Tiers

Retirement Buddy offers both free and premium subscription tiers. Premium features require a paid subscription.

4.2 Billing

• Premium subscriptions are billed monthly or annually
• Payment is charged at the start of each billing period
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled
• Price changes will be communicated 30 days in advance

4.3 Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not provide refunds for partial months except as required by law.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Violate any laws or regulations
• Infringe on intellectual property rights
• Share your account credentials with others
• Attempt to reverse engineer or hack the Service
• Use the Service for any automated or commercial scraping
• Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
• Impersonate others or provide false information
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users or our staff

6. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the Service are owned by Retirement Buddy and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works.

7. User Content

You retain ownership of the financial information and data you input into the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a license to use your data solely to provide and improve the Service.

We do not claim ownership of your personal financial information.

8. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

8.3 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RETIREMENT BUDDY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.

Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Retirement Buddy from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for:

• Violation of these Terms
• Fraudulent or illegal activity
• Non-payment of subscription fees
• Any reason with or without notice (at our discretion)

Upon termination, your right to use the Service immediately ceases. You may request a copy of your data within 30 days of termination.

11. Dispute Resolution

11.1 Informal Resolution

Before filing a formal claim, please contact us at support@retirementbuddy.com to resolve disputes informally.

11.2 Arbitration

Any disputes that cannot be resolved informally shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

11.3 Class Action Waiver

You agree to resolve disputes on an individual basis and waive any right to participate in class action lawsuits.

12. Governing Law
